My professional networks are important to me, and I put immense value on collaborative working with colleagues in Bristol and beyond.
I am an active member of the organisations below:
UKCP is the leading national professional body for the education, training and accreditation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Since 2012, I have been the Deputy Chair of the Professional Conduct Committee, which oversees the Complaints and Conduct Process and plays a central part in enabling UKCP to maintain its professional standards.
AFT is the UK’s leading organisation for family and systemic psychotherapists and practitioners. Its members work with children, young people and adults, couples, families and individuals, enabling them to build on strengths and understandings and find ways forward in their lives.
Pink Therapy is the UK’s largest independent therapy organisation working with gender and sexual diversity clients. It hosts an online directory of therapists of all sexualities and gender identities who work with gender and sexual diversity clients from an non-judgmental standpoint.
The Donor Conception Network is a supportive network of more than 2,000 mainly UK based families with children conceived with donated sperm, eggs or embryos; those considering or undergoing donor conception procedures; and donor conceived people. I am an active member of the Network, running workshops and speaking at national meetings.
CAPPP is a networking organisation for counsellors and psychotherapists in private practice in the south west. Being a member of CAPPP enables practitioners to meet others, to share thoughts about their work and to feel connected with people doing similar work.
The Practice Rooms provide a dedicated space for registered practitioners to deliver a range of therapies across the South West.
Avon Counselling and Psychotherapy Service provides counselling and psychotherapy to clients across the greater Bristol area and Bath.
I work in partnership with the following individuals:
Matthew Elton is a counsellor and psychotherapist based in Edinburgh.
Together with Matthew, I am currently developing a series of workshops for counsellors and psychotherapists to be delivered jointly in locations across the UK.
Tamsin Mitchell is a counsellor and psychotherapist based in South London.
Together with Tamsin, I deliver training sessions and workshops on behalf of the Donor Conception Network.
